I agree entirely, except am not so familiar with Montrose (that was Hager's original band, correct?)... I do believe that Van Halen originally chose the band name Genesis until they realized some other new group was already using the name LOL

Well its actual neither, Van Halen is all about Eddie for me, since I play Guitar. I like Dave for what he brought to the early Live Shows, the energy. VH did a bunch of covers in the early years. I like Sammy because I am a Montrose fan plus he helped bring more original material to the band.
