I have a picture of my younger son standing at the end of that rock outcropping at Glacier Point. He has no fear of anything. Fourteen years ago I surprised my wife with a B&B in Yosemite West for her 60th birthday. We were very close to Glacier Point. Sorry to say that the B&B is no longer there. I'm planning one somewhere for her 75th, June 22, 2014. We started out in Lee Vining where we spent the night and then went over the Tioga Pass and onward. We spent most of the day in Tuolumne Meadows.

Did you go to Tuolumne Meadows? It's one of my favorite areas to camp and fish.

You picked the hottest day to go to Yosemite. From our house in Squaw Valley to the valley is 144 miles. A lot less than when we lived in San Dimas. We still try to camp there in the off season.
