Can you guys give me the real story on the "transmission issues" regarding these Acura's (mine is a 1999 TL 3.2). Thanks.

they've been recalled. If you bought your car from an Acura dealership,you have an extended warranty on your tranny. They'll replace it free.

Its a same issue with the AV6 Accords (98-02). I know a guy who had his replaced 4 times already ...

the Techical Service Bulletin for your transmission issues is:02-027
do a search on TSB 02-027 for more info. if you cannot find it let me know and I can email you the bulletin.

Acura has extended the warranty on the 99-03 TL transmissions to 8 years or 100,000 miles. My dealership has replaced over 400 of them in the past few years.
